As I write this newsletter, my family and I are making last minute preparations for the Kern River Whitewater Rafting expedition. We will be meeting up with fellow Desert Moray members to risk life and limb, face grave danger, and challenge Mother Nature, blah blah blah (what a hoot!) We attended Scuba '99 at Long Beach; this was the first scuba convention that we had ever visited and we found it very interesting. The show stirred our desire to dive the tropics again, maybe in another two years. Attendance at the scuba show was high. We saw many travel agencies promoting their exotic destinations along with the latest dive equipment and paraphernalia. What a show!
